A church in Thame will strengthen its close links with a Christian community in Kenya this week.
Members of the Limuru church, which has had close contacts with local churches for more than 10 years, will meet the mayor at the town hall on Friday at the start of a fortnight's visit.
The church's leader, Lydia Kamau spent three weeks in Thame in 1991, sharing in services and activities at St Mary's Church.
Three years later, a team of six from St Mary's travelled to Kenya for what they later described as a life-changing experience.
The Rev Chris Neal, now the Thame Valley Team Rector, and colleague Derek Witchell, who is preparing for ordination, have returned on a number of occasions to lead training courses there.
Mr Neal said: "Africans have a vibrant Christian faith which is always challenging and encouraging."
Ms Kamau and her team will be visiting local churches, homes and schools.
