City and Sports were 3-2 ahead going into their final round of matches against Woodstock and Cholsey respectively, but both ran out 6-2 winners.
Barbara Gibbons and Esther Simmonds won all three rubbers for City, with Linda Wastie and Elana Mercadante dropping just a half.
In Division 2, Banbury West End's first pair of Claire Oldfield and Wendy Eves won two-and-a-half rubbers out of a possible three, but couldn't stop their side from falling to a 6-2 defeat at the hands of Woodstock B.
Anita Hollingdale and Linda Molyneux dropped just half a rubber for Woodstock, whose other two pairs of Mary Smith and Pam Selby, and Jane Thomson and Norma Powell both won two.
In Division 3, Abingdon B were in top form to destroy North Oxford C 8-.
Dawn Torgersen and Pam Gordon, as well as Anne Powell-Jones and Gill Close were both unbeaten for Abingdon, with Sarah Butler and Judy Grimshaw winning North's solitary half.
In the 2-Pair League, Kingston Bagpuize and Abingdon fought out an exciting 2-2 draw in Mixed Divison 1.
Roger Bones and Val Casemore saved the day for Abingdon, winning a three-set battle with John Palmer and Sarah Mitchell to give their side a share of the spoils in the final match of the afternoon.
Mapledurham defeated Benson 3-1.
Malcolm Bates and Christine Bates were unbeaten for Mapledurham, with Simon Claridge and Liz Bowles winning Benson's point.
In Division 2, John Johnson and Sherry Foster were unbeaten as Cholsey B beat Benson C 3-1, while Len Albin and Susie Kutas led Portcullis to a 3-1 triumph over Faringdon.
