Oxford charity workers are urging women to undertake a gruelling trek in the Andes mountains in aid of a good cause.
The YWCA in Cornmarket Street wants to raise money for disadvantaged young women by sending volunteers to South America to work in an orphanage and trek at altitude in Venezuela.
The "Wild Women" challenge is open only to women and comprises four days of hiking and two days working in an orphanage. The trip lasts 11 days and each volunteer is expected to raise £2,600. Anyone interested should call Anna Riddick on 01865 304217 or e-mail her at anna.riddick@ywca-gb.org.uk
