Aspiring young artists from an Oxford school are preparing to exhibit their work in a commercial gallery.
The children working on their designs.
Taurus Gallery in North Parade Avenue, off Banbury Road, Oxford, is to host an exhibition of artwork by pupils from years seven and eight at Marston Middle School in Raymund Road.
The display has been organised to coincide with Oxford Artweeks and will feature sculptures, clocks and poster designs created in the classroom.
Pupils were challenged to transform planks of wood into something eye-catching and tactile.
Julian Dickinson, head of art and design at Marston Middle School, said: "It is a great reward for all their hard work for the results to be on show in a local gallery.
"The more we can get young people looking at art the better."
The exhibition will run from Saturday, May 25, until Saturday, June 1.
