A scheme to revamp an Oxford park can go ahead after a donation of £5,000.
The money, donated by the Oxford branch of Bradford and Bingley, brings the total raised to £50,000, which will fund a children's play area at Manzil Gardens, off Cowley Road.
The play area will include equipment for disabled children and completes a four-year project to transform the park.
David Head, manager of the Oxford branch of Bradford and Bingley, presented the cheque to East Oxford Adventure Play Association children and volunteer Nicola James-Moore.
Mr Head said: "It is nice to see how much progress has been made.
"It is a huge improvement and as a national organisation, it is good to see the money being used locally." Mrs James-Moore said: "The money has been raised but we now need local volunteers to move things along.
"We need manpower to keep developing the area, source the equipment and help with arts projects."
Crime reduction officer Pc John Mulloy added: "We are enormously grateful to the many local businesses who have helped us throughout the project and particularly Bradford and Bingley who have supported us from the start."
Anyone interested in becoming involved in the playground project can go to a meeting at The Magic Cafe, Magdalen Road, tomorrow at 8pm.
