Tributes have been paid to a National Trust volunteer worker Josephine Scrimgeour, who died in a car crash on the A361 Chipping Norton to Banbury Road.
Mrs Scrimgeour, a 73-year-old widow of Oxford Road, Chipping Norton, was involved in a two-car crash. She was airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, but later died of her injuries.
She worked as a volunteer room steward at the National Trust property, Upton House near Banbury.
The house steward, Julia Barker, said Mrs Scrimgeour had lived abroad for much of her life and had worked at Upton for about a year.
"She had a lot of knowledge about the house. She was a really nice lady and well liked by her colleagues. She will be missed," she said.
