The Rev Andrew Wingfield Digby has been inducted as the new vicar of St Andrew's Parish Church in north Oxford.
Mr Wingfield Digby once played in the same cricket side as Pakistan captain Imran Khan when they were students at Keble College, Oxford. He is also spiritual adviser to the English Cricket Board.
Mr Wingfield Digby's wife, Sue, is head of Wychwood School, north Oxford, and they have three children.
He was inducted by the Bishop of Oxford, the Rt Rev Richard Harries, and the Venerable John Morrison, Archdeacon of Oxford.
He has spent the last 18 years with Christians in Sport, during which time he has twice been a chaplain at the Olympic Games.
