Darren Lehmann saw Yorkshire through to a five-wicket Norwich Union League Division 1 victory over Kent at Canterbury yesterday.
Yorkshire had taken the upper hand as the Kent top order spluttered to 51-4 before eventually posting 180 all out.
Yorkshire suffered their own disastrous start with openers Craig White going for a duck and Matthew Wood making just 27 as the visitors slumped to 36-3 at one stage.
But Lehmann saw them through with an unbeaten 69 as Yorkshire coasted to their total with five wickets in hand.
Durham's dreadful start to the season continued as they went down to a 20-run defeat to Glamorgan at Cardiff.
