Colourful woollen blankets knitted by a woman with Down's Syndrome are to be sent to Afghanistan to help the relief effort.
Bill Holland and daughter Lorna
Lorna Holland, 52, prepared more than 100 knitted squares which were then sewn together by members of the Inner Wheel Club of Sinodun.
Her father, Bill Holland, 81, who cares for her at their home in Blackstone Road, Wallingford, said Lorna, who cannot count, had enjoyed knitting squares for the last 30 years.
He said: "Even while we're waiting for the tea to brew, she'll be knitting.
"She does the squares all on her own. She can cast off and somehow gets all the squares the same size.
"How she does it, I don't know. She once made a sleeveless pullover with some help, but she can't follow a pattern on her own because she can't read."
Mr Holland said they hoped the Inner Wheel would donate the blankets to one of their charities.
Inner Wheel president Yvonne Harris said members had had great fun linking the squares together to make three blankets at a recent supper party the club held in Dorchester.
She added: "We're hoping to send the blankets to Afghanistan, probably with Feed the Children. I'm sure people will be very pleased to have them."
