Challow & Childrey slumped to an amazing 5-4 before crashing to a 19-run defeat against Aston Rowant in a dramatic low-scoring encounter, writes Peter Fenn.
Challow looked to have the upper hand after Rowant were skittled out for 107 by the pace of David Slade (3-18) and the guile of Steve Watts (3-9). But then Challow's innings got off to a disastrous start, and although they rallied, there was no way back and they collapsed to 88 all out, with Wesley Morrick (5-62) and Nick O'Hara (4-15) doing the damage. Luke List (3-51) and Wesley Barrett (3-49) starred with the ball as Oxford Downs dismissed Thame for 165 to set up a four-wicket win.

Shipton-under-Wychwood held out for a draw at 168-9 in reply to Kimble's 206-9.
In a match reduced to 40 over-a-side, Andy Russel (85) and Alex Bull (32) added 80 runs in the last ten overs for Kimble.

Former county opener David Wise carried his bat for 64, but with little support from his teammates, Banbury Twenty closed on 138-8 in reply to Dinton's 162-7.

Rover Cowley were foiled by Wolverton's last pair, who held out 83-9 in reply to the visitors' 129.

A late start at Wolverton saw Rover Cowley struggle to 129 on a low and slow pitch against Glenn Dickinson (3-24) and Andrew Gosling (4-51), keeper Michael Baker playing his part with three stumpings.
Wolverton encountered similar problems with the pitch, especially against left-arm spinner Patel (5-33) but held out at 83-9.
