A park created in memory of the former Poet Laureate, Sir John Betjeman, has been officially opened.
Betjeman Park, off Mill Street, Wantage, contains a poetry trail made up of inscribed stones featuring extracts from poems by Sir John, who lived in the town from 1951 to 1972.
The Vicar of Wantage, Father John Salter, cut the ribbon on Saturday to officially open the park.
Wantage Silver Band played at the event and some of Sir John's poems were read out.
