City councillors are determined to pursue their claim for £494,000 from Firoka, a company owned by Oxford United chairman Firoz Kassam.
At a meeting yesterday they told Mr Kassam that the debt, part of the deal over the new Kassam Stadium, was not negotiable. The council has issued a High Court writ to recover the money.
But councillors have promised to work with the club to tackle parking problems in roads around the stadium on match days.
