An Oxford man failed to get a six-year sentence for drug offences reduced at London's Appeal Court.
Jahed Khan Rad, 20, of Cardigan Street, Jericho, was jailed last October, after being convicted on four counts of possessing drugs with intent to supply.
He had been charged the previous January after police arrested him in the street and found a wrap of heroin hidden inside his mobile phone.
A search at his address led to the discovery of 16g of heroin and 12g of crack cocaine.
Rad sought leave to appeal on the grounds that his sentence was "manifestly excessive", but his case was dismissed yesterday (July 31) by Judge Thomas Crowther. The judge, sitting with Lord Justice Rix and Mr Justice Field, said Rad had been given every possible credit at his crown court hearing, and that the sentence passed was not too long.
