Disabled bikers have received a boost thanks to a motorcycle club and soldiers at Dalton Barracks, Abingdon.
A cheque for more than £200 was presented to Juley Simmonds, vice-chairman of the National Association for Bikers with a Disability (NABD) by Staff Sgt John Welsh. He is a member of the Alien Nation Motorcycle Club, many of whose members are disabled. NABD gives disabled riders financial help to adapt their machines with special controls.
Senior youth and community development officer at Dalton Barracks, Greg Dawe, who is also a member of Alien Nation, said: "Bikers come from all walks of life and work together to maintain their very special cultural identity."
