Technological experts who have developed award-winning graphics software produced this striking image of a robot dancing down Oxford's New College Lane.
Oxford Metrics Group, based in Botley Road, set up a company, 2d3, which won an Emmy award for engineering earlier this year.
2d3 develop computer software which has been used in films including The Fellowship of the Ring and Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
The technology, which makes computer-generated sequences match live footage, was developed from advanced mathematics used at Oxford University by Dr Andrew Fitzgibbon and Prof Andrew Zisserman.
Prof Zisserman said: "We research ways of doing things that were impossible before which give computers the ability to understand vision.
He added: "It's very satisfying to see your work turned into films and pictures like this."
