SIR -- I was not surprised to see a traffic accident at the Pony Road trading estate junction.
A person had been knocked off their moped travelling towards Horspath by a car pulling out from the estate.
Action to improve visibility on this stretchis overdue before someone is seriously injured or killed. Double yellow lines should be continuous from the dual carriageway up to the junction, as I believe they used to be.
Any vehicle, even for loading or unloading, should be forbidden from parking on that stretch of road as it makes life that little bit more dangerous for the rest of us.
This is not the first letter the Oxford Mail has received about this stretch of road.
The county council cannot plead ignorance to the problem and escape their duty of care to provide us with safer roads to travel on.
