Retailers are being warned about a credit card scam after an Abingdon store was conned out of goods worth more than £2,000.
The conmen telephoned Abingdon Beds in Spring Road and bought beds using credit cards which were later reported stolen.
Store owner Howard Alsworth said the beds were collected from the store, so he did not have an address for the thieves.
Mr Alsworth said: "These conmen have left me out of pocket to the tune of £2,250. As a small family business, this is a loss I can ill afford."
Nigel Strick, head of trading standards at Oxfordshire County Council, said: "This case shows it isn't just consumers who get ripped off.
"I urge all businesses to make sure, where possible, to try to see the card, and get the imprint of it, or deliver goods to the card holder's address.
"If you are in any doubt, check fully with the credit card issuers, and ask for their advice and guidance."
