An Oxford drug education charity run by two former addicts has received a £150,000 grant.
Energy & Vision, was founded in 1998 by its project directors, Paul McCabe and Spencer Hudson, and informs young people about the dangers of drugs.
It works with the police and Thames Valley Health Trust to educate children excluded from mainstream education and parent groups.
Its message carries added weight as it comes from two people with first-hand experience. Both Mr McCabe and Mr Hudson have served prison sentences in the past.
The money from the Vodafone YK Foundation will subsidise marketing materials and help fund drug education in three Oxfordshire schools.
