A teacher resigned from a north Oxford boarding school following allegations he was in possession of indecent material.
Nigel Kitchen, 41, a science master, resigned from Summer Fields School, the boys' boarding school in Summerfield Road, after police told the school of allegations he had been in possession of indecent images. Mr Kitchen, who has moved out of a flat belonging to the school, has not been charged.
Robin Badham-Thornhill, headteacher at the school, said: "Nigel Kitchen was a teacher here and he resigned in August. The police contacted the school on the basis that there were allegations he was in possession of indecent material. No charges have been brought. The school has co-operated with all the inquiries that have been made."
