Young fundraisers from East Hanney, near Wantage, remembered generations past and present.
During a special service, pupils at St James School presented £68 from the sale of their harvest festival produce to the October Club in Wantage, which cares for elderly people with memory difficulties.

The children recently raised £121 for the Don Bosco Home for street children in Cape Town, South Africa, and £267 for the British Heart Foundation. They will be sending shoeboxes of Christmas presents to deprived children around the world via the Samaritans Purse charity this week.
A school spokesman said: "While all the people who are involved with the school are very proud of their children and their academic ability, the children are actively encouraged to care for their environment and the community.
"Be it at home in Wantage or across the world, there is always someone with a greater need than theirs."
