Henley suffered another defeat at the hands of bogey side Bracknell as they went down 46-26 at Lilly Park.
When Henley built a 19-10 lead after 35 minutes, it looked as if they were on course for victory.
But then acting skipper Steve Barnes was given a red card for dangerous use of the boot, and the Bracknell forwards took charge.
Hawks led 19-15 at the break, after a try by Nnamdi
Obi, plus a conversion and four penalties by Barry Reeves.
Winger Pete Davies, on as a replacement for the injured Ali James, set up a try for Russell Osman, and Reeves's conversion made it 26-15 just after the break.
However, Bracknell ran in five tries against a tiring Henley defence.
