A seven-year-old schoolboy is being given the big chance to light up his home town.
Archie Morgan-Hutt follows in the footsteps of MPs and town mayors when he switches on Witney's Christmas lights on November 27. He was chosen for the celebrity spot by the town's Chamber of Trade after winning a poster competition to highlight the event.
Archie, a pupil at Tower Hill Primary School, is due to flick the switch at 7pm.
About 200 copies of his poster have been printed to promote the event in shops, businesses and notice boards around the town.
