South League: Rover Oxford's amazing run of 27 league games without defeat came to an end when they went down 1-0 at Gerrards Cross in Division 1.
Rover's remarkable unbea- ten run stretched back to October 2001.
Despite dominating much of the game, Rover failed to threaten from eight short corners.
And the decisive goal came 15 minutes into the second half when a shot just escaped keeper Rob MacDougall's outstretched leg.
Gerrards Cross then missed a contested penalty and had a goal disallowed.
Rover raised their game, but despite Gerrards Cross being reduced to ten men when one of their players was shown a second yellow card, they were unable to force an equaliser.
