Mid Oxon Under 15s' ESFA Wizards Trophy tie against Reading was abandoned deep into extra time when an angry parent came on to the pitch and allegedly attempted to attack the referee.
Mid Oxon were leading 3-2 with a minute to go of extra time in the third-round clash at Witney United when a Reading player reacted strongly to a challenge by Mid Oxon's Daniel Bishop.
Tim Churchward, Mid Oxon's manager, said the Reading player unleashed a "verbal assault" on Bishop, threatening him.
The referee then sent off the Reading player, whose furious father came on to the pitch.
"The Reading coaches held the father back as he swung a leg out at the referee," said Churchward.
"I have never seen anything like it before. It was totally disgraceful and totally out of order.
"It leaves a bitter taste in the mouth that a parent should try to attack a referee."
The incident in schoolboy football's most prestigious competition came in front of a crowd of around 100 spectactors - including scouts from a host of professional clubs including Manchester United, Aston Villa, Southampton, Oxford United and Swindon Town.
Now the English Schools' FA are set to rule on whether the result should stand, with a decision expected by tomorrow.
Churchward believes commonsense should prevail.
"If they order the match to be replayed because a parent came on to the pitch when a side was losing in extra time, it will set a precedent," he claimed.
