Defender Adi Viveash was back at Reading yesterday not knowing whether Oxford United were going to come back in for him.
The defender, who spent two successful months on loan at Oxford from the neighbouring Royals, was expecting to join on a full-time basis if United offloaded defender Sam Stockley, and that happened 12 days ago.
United boss Ian Atkins, who was planning to speak to chairman Firoz kassam yesterday, is now believed to be looking at other defenders, in case the deal collapses completely.
