A water vole project in Oxfordshire is in the running to win a national animal welfare and conservation award.
The project, co-ordinated by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust, is one of three finalists for the BBC Animal Award. A film about the project will be screened on the BBC's Countryfile programme on November 24, at 11.30am.
The project was set up to encourage landowners and developers to help conserve the habitats of water voles.
Sarah Wallbank, BBOWT's water vole officer, said: "If we were to win, it would help to raise the project's profile."
