Two wins from two outings was the reward for the Wolvercote ABC duo Lawrence Lewis and Steve Mullins on their lengthy excursions this week.
Steve Mullins, rightCassington bantamweight Lewis demonstrated the kind of form that prompted his call-up to the England National squad with a decisive victory over West Country champion Jed Saygi at Weymouth.
He imposed his authority from the bell, repeatedly forcing his Paignton rival on to the back foot to gain another convincing victory.
Mullins provided a second win on the road for the Wolvercote gym with a second-round knockout at Woking against seasoned campaigner Andy Ewence.
The 22-year-old light middleweight, from Witney, was quickly into his stride, unleashing a solid right hand that rattled Ewence.
An equally ferocious left uppercut sent the Woking man spinning around the ring and he was counted out on his feet.
