CARDIFF CITY RES 1, OXFORD UTD RES 0: United Reserves gave a good performance at Ninian Park in last night's Avon Insurance Combination fxture, but fell to a goal after 25 minutes from Leo Fortune-West.
Cardiff had a more experienced side, including Fan Zhiyi, China's World Cup player, and Gavin Gordon, who was recently on loan at Oxford, but United competed well.

The U's gave a run-out to trialist Ciaran Ryan, a Dubliner who is at Bolton Wanderers, and young Arsenal forward Carl Itonga, who was recently with the Congo squad that faced Belgium.
The game came just too early for midfielder Bobby Ford, though he has joined in full training following his groin injury.
