George & Dragon sprang a surprise in the second round of the Devenney Cup when they won 5-4 away to Division 1 side Buckland.

A hat-trick from Gareth Fenton plus goals from JR Willis and John Pearce earned the Division 2 outfit a home tie against Oxford Community Church in the last 16.

Gary Bradbury scored a hat-trick of his own for the losers, whose other goal came from Ross MacDonald.

Oxford Community Church moved into the next round with a 4-1 win against Benson Harts.

James Carroll gave Harts an early lead, but strikes from Dean Fowler (2) and Byron Jose (2) saw Church home.

Wootton RBL went through after beating Long Wittenham 7-2, thanks largely to four goals from Kevin Kogel.

Richard Chilvers (2) and Aron Wisdom also scored, with Scott Anderson netting twice for Wittenham

In the league, Blue Boar moved back to the top of Division 1 on goal difference after coming from behind to beat Saxton Rovers 3-2.

Rovers got off to a flier, taking the lead after ten minutes through Mike Beale, who Beale then provided the cross for strike partner Lee Kogel to make it 2-0.

But Chris Roche provided the visitors with a lifeline just before the break, and second-half strikes from Dave Mulford and substitute Daniel Hogan sealed a fine comeback.

Burford United went down 2-1 at home after dominating much of their game against Sandman.

Leo Haines gave Burford a half-time lead, but a defensive blunder allowed Warrick Baldwin to snatch the equaliser.

Simon Gibbs and Nathan Radbone each hit the woodwork before Baldwin grabbed the winner.

In Division 2, Standlake Garage raced to a 3-1 away win against The Bell Grove in the mud at Wasborough Field thanks to a hat-trick from Danny Lee.

Rebound

Garage keeper Matty Hemsley tipped an 18-yard effort from Brian Riggs over the bar before Lee opened the scoring.

James Rose equalised in the 46th minute when he pounced on a rebound shot from Dave Curtis, but Lee added two more goals, the second with a perfectly-weighted chip.

Marcham Sunday took over at the top with a 2-0 win over the previous incumbents Abbott Medisense thanks to a brace from Huw Mellor.

In the only Division 3A game to beat the weather, AFC Oxford climbed to fourth with a 3-1 win at The Stocks.

Two early goals from Matty Tomkins gave AFC the perfect start before Jason Thomas's free kick deflected in off defender Alex Underwood to reduce the arrears.

But Liam Barson scored a third to settle the nerves.

Division 3B's in-form team Supersonic Sunday scored at will in a 6-0 victory over Sandman Res. Their goals were scored by Alan Bertram (3) Gareth Bertram, Dave Paton and Ian McDermott.
