A new restaurant overlooking the canal in Banbury is to open in the new Castle Quay Shopping Centre.
Rosamund Catering, which runs the floating narrow boat restaurant Rosamund The Fair in Oxford, has taken 1,200 sq ft at Banbury Museum.
Meals of up to nine courses are served onboard the boat, based at Castle Mill Boatyard in Oxford, as it cruises along the Thames.
Timothy Matthews, Rosamund Catering's managing director, said: "We shall run a cafe-restaurant at the museum."
The company has also taken the lease of Tooleys Boatyard opposite Banbury Museum, where it will run a boat school.
Banbury chartered surveyors White Mitchell let the restaurant. They were inviting offers of close to £30,000 a year in rent.
Peter Mitchell, a partner of the company, said: "Banbury has a shortage of quality eating establishments."
