I had just returned from walking my dog when I read Pat White's letter (Oxford Mail, November 12).
I use the term 'walk' loosely. We had been out of the house for only a few minutes when someone started letting off fireworks.
My dog has never been happy about this but this year has reacted badly. He is not keen to leave the house and tries desperately to return as soon as possible.
Fireworks should be limited to authorised, licensed displays. I'm sure many of those, who think it's a laugh to let off fireworks, could not comprehend or care about the distress they are causing.
