As landlord of the Eagle Inn public house in Dover, can I thank the large group of Oxford United fans who came into the pub on Saturday afternoon?
They arrived in quite large numbers and, instead of intimidating our non-football supporters, some of whom did not even know a game was going on, were fantastically behaved.
Many drinks were bought and drunk by the lads who came in, but there was never a hint of trouble at any time.
Can I say, as someone who has been to many League games, that your fans are a credit to the Nationwide League and to your area?
The fans would be welcome here again. I will be looking at Oxford United's results with greater interest in future.
I hope your cup run continues (unless you get Arsenal, of course). Thanks again from an appreciative landlord.
