The European Formula 3000 runner-up Romain Dumas is to be given a test by the Enstone-based Renault F1 team.
Dumas was a front runner in the Euro F3000 title this year driving for John Village Automotive in a Lola.
It is expected that Renault will soon sign French driver Sebastien Bourdais, the International F3000 champion, as their 2003 test driver.
