Champions Shipton-under-Wychwood have been handed one of the toughest possible draws in the first round of next season's National Village Championship.
The west Oxfordshire side, who became the first club from the county to lift the title at Lord's last summer, entertain fellow Cherwell League Division 1 outfit Oxford Downs on Sunday, April 27.
Shipton would then potentially face another Cherwell League side, Sandford St Martin, in the third round, before a likely meeting with either Aston Rowant, Kingston Bagpuize, Great Tew or 1995 national finalists Tiddington in the last four.
Meanwhile, the other half of the draw looks a lot easier.
Warborough & Shillingford, who do not play league cricket, will have high hopes of reaching their third Oxfordshire region semi final in a row. 1st round: (Sunday, April 27) Tetsworth v Chalgrove, Cropredy v Kidmore End, Baldons v Hook Norton, Charlton on Otmoor v Britwell Salome, Hanborough v Freeland, Great Tew v Tiddington, Stonesfield v Aston Rowant, Chadlington Social Club v Kingston Bagpuize, Shipton-under-Wychwood v Oxford Downs.
