A pensioner had £100 stolen from a wallet in his living room after three men called at his door claiming to be concerned about a cat they said had run into his garden.
The men told the 65-year-old, who answered the door at his home in Brookside, Watlington, that they feared their car had run into the cat and hurt it. One man went into the back garden, but then entered the house via the back door. The victim later found that the cash had been stolen from a wallet in his living room.
The men were white and spoke with northern accents. One man was 5ft eight inches tall, in his mid 20s, of medium build, with brown hair and a moustache.
