Kidlington have been left reeling by the news that midfielder Paul Donnelly will miss the rest of the season after snapping his cruciate knee ligament.

Clanfield's Adam Lock, left, has been ruled out for the season with a cruciate knee ligament injury

Donnelly, who had only just joined the club from Oxford City, was making his full debut in last Saturday's 2-1 Oxfordshire Senior Cup defeat at Bicester Town when he fell awkwardly in a tackle.

Manager Karl Grossmann said: "It was an innocuous situation, a 50-50 challenge in the middle of the park, and all of a sudden, he was on the ground in agony.

"It's a massive blow to him personally, and to us. On Boxing Day morning, we will have a charity game to raise some money for him."

Meanwhile, Kidlington will also be without Danny Morris, Geoff Talboys, Leighton James and Frazer Gills for their home Division 1 West clash with Shrivenham, but Owen Bunce and Danny Mason return to the squad.

Carterton Town have snapped up midfielder Mark Jordan from Pewsey Vale, and he goes into the squad for the clash with Wootton Bassett at Kilkenny Lane.

Mark Threlfall (groin) is ruled out, but Paul Sherwood may return from injury.
