Wheelchair users will be able to use cashpoints at a Thame bank after councillors gave permission to alter the listed building.
Lloyds had applied for permission to replace existing machines at its Cornmarket site with more accessible cashpoints. Cash machines at Lloyds in Cornmarket are installed in a recess on the front of the building making them unusable for wheelchair users.
But South Oxfordshire District Council northern area planning officers said the move would harm the listed building.
Thame member Ann Midwinter said: "My vote goes for the wheelchair users" and was backed by committee chairman Mary Stiles, also from Thame.
Members voted to allow the change to the listed building.
