Cherry Red Records Hellenic League: Winterbourne Utd 3, Clanfield 0
Clanfield got no reward for another spirited and hard-working performance and again suffered at the hands of lady luck.
Defender Shaun Miller was injured in the first five minutes and was forced to leave the field after playing on gamely until half-time.
Neil Barrett beat the goalkeeper but his effort was cleared off the line, and Peter Osborne headed a Reece Winney cross just wide to leave the first half goalless.
A reorganised Clanfield went behind on 62 minutes, but not before Barrett had again been denied, this time by a point-blank save by the home keeper.
Further goals on 68 minutes and in a lengthy period of stoppage time sealed their fate.
