The decision to close a £32,000 skate park is being reviewed by an Oxford City Council scrutiny committee.
The park at Aristotle Lane recreation ground, Jericho, was used for just one month after being opened in April.
Earlier this month, the council's north area committee agreed to close the park permanently, rather than spend £30,000 on soundproofing.
The environment scrutiny committee was today (November 25) reviewing the decision, but it was unlikely to be overturned. The issue was due to be discussed late this afternoon.
Labour councillor Susanna Pressel, a member of the scrutiny committee, said: "I want officers to try to find an alternative location for a skate park for youngsters living in Jericho and Botley Road.
"It's a terrible shame that this skate park has had to close. It is very much missed by young people."
The park was paid for by housing developers who gave money to the council to improve local facilities.
But residents soon complained, and sound tests showed noise levels were illegally high.
Councillors on the north area committee agreed to try to use the Aristotle Lane site for another leisure pursuit, and seek a suitable alternative site for a skate park.
The Alexandra Courts in Banbury Road have been suggested, but Ms Pressel said this was too far for young people living in her ward to travel.
A review into ways the council can improve its refuse services and reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill sites was also being discussed by the committee.
