South West Division 2 East: Oxford Harlequins marched on at the top of the table with an 18-0 victory away to Amersham & Chiltern.
The game was switched to a nearby training pitch as the main pitch was unfit and Quins started brightly, moving the ball wide at every opportunity, which had the hosts on the back foot.
After twice going close, Quins took the lead in the ninth minute when the backs combined with some long passes to put No 8 Paul Nye over for a try. Chris Penney converted to make it 7-0 .
Quins kept the up pressure on Amersham, but several times the ball went to ground, denying them more scores, before Penney kicked a penalty to increase the lead to 10-0 by the break.
The Quins pack, in which second row Rob Dowe and flanker Jim Anderson were prominent, kept the momentum going in the second half.
Penney kicked another penalty in the 55th minute before a series of yellow cards were handed out - two for Amersham, plus one for Quins' Paul Nye
The visitors sealed the game after a tremendous driving maul by the forwards on the halfway line drove the home pack back for prop Simon Chadbone to crash over.
