Trysports 3 Counties Women's League round-up: Oxford Hawks Ladies produced one of their best Premier Division displays of the season to beat second-placed Wycombe Rye 2-0 at Handicross.
Hawks took the lead in the 15th minute after Hannah Williamson's fine solo run ended with her shot being deliberately stopped on the line by a defender's foot.
The umpire had no choice but to award a penalty stroke, which Jo Hopkins duly converted.
In the second half, Hawks clinched victory when Laura Wingfield Digby deflected the ball past the keeper.
Rover Oxford 2nd finally got the better of local rivals City of Oxford in their Division 1 clash, winning 3-0.
Kate Murphy opened the scoring after ten minutes with a reverse stick strike from a penalty corner.
Rover went further ahead just before half-time when Anne Spindlerfired home from ten yards.
And Spindler put the game beyond City's reach five minutes from time, following up Ali Dowler's shot to score.
Wallingford bounced back after last week's 6-0 home defeat by Marlow to beat West Witney 2nd 5-1.
Wallingford went three goals up within 15 minutes.
Wallingford's scorers were Helen Barber (2), Chiara Clarke, Lauren Taylor-Moore and Julia Davies.
Pilgrims crashed 6-2 at Gerrards Cross in their Division 2 encounter.
A deft flick from Pauline Swan and a Lynn Fathers' goal, created by Laura Dean, provided Pilgrims' replies.
Goalkeeper Helen Saunders was the star of Wychwood's hard-fought 2-1 win at Newbury 2nd in Division 3.
With the scores at 1-1, she made a series of blinding saves in a 20-minute spell of heavy Newbury pressure.
And it paid rich dividends as a goal from Rachel Mix brought Wychwood victory.
Catherine Forteath had struck for the west Oxfordshire side in the first half.
