Oxford City have signed striker Stuart Lewis from Gloucester City - and he's in line to make his debut in the Ryman League's Bryco Cup at Wembley tonight.
The 21-year-old centre forward hasn't played for Gloucester this season due to a knee injury, but he has fully recovered now.
A former Cirencester Academy player, he then spent two years with Aston Villa - as a YTS and then a professional - before being released and joining Gloucester.
City manager Paul Lee said: "He looks a very good player, but he needs some games, so this is an ideal game to start off in."
Club skipper Matty Hayward is also due to make his first-team comeback tonight - although the second-round tie is in some doubt as City's league game at Wembley on Saturday was called off due to a waterlogged pitch and further rain is forecast for today.
Hayward was out of action for a year after suffering cruciate knee ligament damage, and then in just his second game back, he sustained the same injury to his other knee, leaving him sidelined for a further 12 months.
Hovever, he has been playing regularly for the reserves for the last six weeks, and Lee said: "He has a great attitude and if anyone deserves a full recovery it is him."
