Witney's juniors retained the Harry Charlton Trophy at Gosford Hill Sports Centre on Saturday.
A ding-dong contest between Witney and host club Kidlington & Gosford produced plenty of exciting races throughout the evening, none more so than Scott Webster's super swim in the 9-years-old boys' breaststroke, which deservedly brought him the swimmer-of-the-match award.
The runners-up vote went to Laura Cable for her efforts which brought her new personal bests in the 12 and under girls' backstroke and freestyle.
Nine-year-old Daniel Possee showed his outstanding potential with two excellent wins in freestyle and butterfly and, backed up by Webster, Thomas McLean and Ryan Harris, this group were undefeated in both medley and freestyle relays.
Kidlington's 14 first places included huge margins of victory for Melissa Hawtin and her nine-year teammates Zoe Moriss, Chloe Proffitt and Jessica Keen in the individual butterfly and the relays.
The 12-year squad consisting of Katie Emmings, Sam Proffitt, Calum Surrage and Sam Hills finished their days in the junior ranks with a fine flourish in the closing relays.
