Novices competed against experts in the annual north Cotswolds hedgelaying competition.
The contest was held just north of Chipping Norton.
Competitors had to lay 10 yards of hedge in five hours.
Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Partnership spokesman Mark Connelly said: "The traditional method of hedgelaying keeps the hedge vigorous and healthy, and a vital home for wildlife."
