A Christmas fair has raised £4,500 for a charity supporting the Oxford Children's Hospital Campaign.
Money from the Charity Christmas Fair, at Chipping Norton Rugby Club, on November 21, will be donated to SCCWID (Sophie's Campaign for the Children's Ward for Interesting things to Do), which was set up by teenager Sophie Watson, before she died of cancer in 2000.
The project was initially launched by the 18-year-old to raise money to liven up paediatric wards at Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital, in Headington, but her family have now pledged to raise £250,000 in the next five years for the proposed £20m children's hospital.
