Security staff put out a small fire in Santa's grotto at a toy shop in Bicester Village.
A Green Goddess attended the incident and troops checked that the fire had been put out.
The incident happened just before 9am yesterday.
Meanwhile, stand-in firefighters faced a water shortage problem when they were called out to tackle a fire in a farm building near Abingdon last night (26 November).
The building, close to the village of Bayworth near Abingdon, contained supplies of agricultural products. An army crew arrived after 8pm.
The crew spent about five hours tackling the blaze.
