North Berks League round-up: Johnny Pearce hit a hat-trick to give Blewbury a welcome 4-0 win over fellow stugglers Childrey United in Division 1.
In a programme decimated by the weather, Michael Pitcher was also on target for Blewbury, who are now four points clear of bottom club Childrey.
Tim Barton was another hat-trick hero as Long Wittenham brushed aside Warborough & Shillingford 5-0.
Danny Shurmer and Eddie Ireson completed Wittenham's tally.
Leaders East Hendred gained an impressive 2-0 win at Marcham, with goals from Paul Mead and Simon Burgoyne.
A freak goal saw Drayton move into second place with a 1-0 victory over below-strength Lambourn Sports.
Lee Durkin's cross from the right eluded the keeper's grasp and sailed into the far corner.
In Division 3, Harwell International Res recorded an overdue 5-2 win against lowly Long Wittenham Res.
Paul Smith and Mark Porter both scored twice for Harwell with Colin Berryman netting the other. Young Charlie Harris scored both Wittenham goals.
In Division 4, Stanford-in-the-Vale Res were also won 5-2 winners as they saw off Blewbury Res.
Pete Culley (2), Paul Huzzey, Mark Rolls and Tom Weeks were the Stanford scorers.
Lee Jones had a field day with five goals as Sutton Courtenay Res raced to a 7-2 win over Warborough & Shillingford Res.
Scott Ollif and Stephen Madge also netted for Sutton.
In Division 5, Ryan Stuart gave Benson Res a 1-0 win over Faringdon Town A and took them into second spot.
Buckland Res shared the goals around as they thumped Uffington Res 5-0.
Wayne Farquhar, Paul Collett, Nathan Potter, Michael Bowl and Paul Ross all scored one apiece for the victors.
