Oxford University director of rugby Steve Hill still has a couple of selection dilemmas to resolve ahead of next month's Varsity Match.
The Dark Blues travel to Loughborough University on Saturday, their final warm-up game and one in which they traditionally field their starting XV for Twickenham.
But Hill is still unsure about who will play at scrum half and on the left wing against Cambridge University on Tuesday, December 10.
Dan Taberner had looked likely to wear the No 9 shirt against the Light Blues, but he is on the bench this weekend, with Graham Barr getting the chance to stake a late claim.
Three men look to be in the running to start on the left wing at Twickenham - Karrelle Dixon, Stuart Douglas and old Blue Will Ellerby.
Dixon will play there against Loughborough, with Douglas missing the game after pulling a hamstring against New Zealand Under 21 last week.
Douglas is expected to be fit for the Varsity Match.
A damaged thigh could rule out No 8 Dave Lubans for this weekend's fixture, while Australian centre Andrew Willett is struggling with a more serious, long-term version of the same injury.
Lubans is rated at 50-50 and will have a fitness test on Friday. Willett will start against Loughborough, but is not likely to play the whole game.
Oxford Univ: Barlow, Rubie, Allen, Willett, Dixon, Honeyben, Barr, Tkachuk, Griffiths, Nwume, Edwards, Russell, Gemmell, Durham, Lubans.
