Tickets for Oxford United's televised FA Cup derby with Swindon Town on December 8 are going so quickly the game could be sold out by the weekend.
The first-ever FA Cup meeting between the old adversaries has captured the imagination of local football fans.
Seats in the Oxford Mail Stand not reserved for season ticket holders sold out last Friday, just days after going on sale.
And the uptake in other parts of the ground has been almost as frenetic.
United secretary Mick Brown said: "I've got no doubt whatsoever that we are looking at a sell-out, it's a queston of when, rather than if.
"It wouldn't surprise me if we had sold out of tickets by close of play on Saturday."
Many fans will get their tickets when they attend the U's Division 3 game against Lincoln City at the Kassam Stadium this Saturday.
But any supporter leaving it much later than that may find he misses out, as many did by leaving it too late for the recent Worthington Cup third-round tie at Aston Villa.
Season ticket holders are reminded that they must claim their seats by 6pm on Friday.
Brown added: "It seems a lot of fans are coming up and buying both a Swindon ticket and a ticket for the Boxing Day game against Bournemouth, which we're pleased at.
"The Boxing Day game is always one for the families. We put these tickets on sale early and we're expecting a very big crowd for this match as well."
