Aid for the farming community in South Oxfordshire is being boosted by the district council.
It held its second successful forum and 24 local farmers attended.
Wallingford firm CAB International was involved, explaining its work collating research papers on agricultural and environmental topics.
Other talks were on suitable locations to grow high energy crops and about the support and advice business groups can give farmers.
Sue Cooper, district council cabinet member for economic development, said: "We want to keep good working relationships and communications with farmers as they have a vital role to play in preserving South Oxfordshire's countryside.
"Together we want to pave the way for a more prosperous future for farmers in this area."
Further meetings are planned.
